ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS® Remediation Services (ESRS) is an environmental consulting and remediation services firm that specializes in environmental spill response and project management with an emphasis on providing solutions to the risk management and insurance industries.  We are seeking an entry-level environmental scientist, geoscientist or engineer or intermediate environmental technician for our North Bay operation.

The successful candidate will be working out of the North Bay office but will be involved with projects across Northern, Central, and Southern. The position will include significant involvement with the management and science of the remediation of spills.  This is an exciting position that will provide the successful candidates with immediate hands-on experience at controlling and remediating spills and solving client problems. 

The successful candidates will need to be action and results oriented, confident in their abilities to make sound decisions in the field.  You will be working closely with our senior staff that will be providing direct guidance and mentoring.  At the same time the successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain project management experience and advance rapidly.

Intermediate to Senior Project Manager - Calgary, AB

We have an opening for an Intermediate to Senior Project Manager to technically support our staff on environmental and remediation projects from our Calgary office. 

The successful candidate will have a university degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline. They should have a minimum of three to five years of environmental experience.  Candidates should have experience in hydrocarbon remediation, and Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments.  Experience with managing environmental remediation projects would be an asset.

The successful candidate will conduct fieldwork, supervise subcontractors, act as the regulatory liaison, compile reports, be comfortable interacting with clients, and be able to initiate sales and provide customer support.  Candidates should be computer literate, have experience with fieldwork, sampling, drilling, and report preparation, and be self-starters.  This position provides the successful candidate with a very high degree of self-sufficiency and responsibility and excellent opportunity for advancement with appropriate financial benefits.

Senior Environmental/Indoor Air Quality Engineer - ESRS Hamilton, ON

We have an immediate opening for a bilingual Senior Project Scientist and/or Engineer to join our staff on environmental remediation and indoor air quality projects, working from our Hamilton, ON office.

Candidates should have a post-secondary degree in engineering.  They must be a Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario, or qualified to be licensed in Ontario, and must be eligible to work in the United States.  They should also be a Certified Indoor Environmentalist (0213 - Indoor Air Quality Association of the U.S.). Bilingualism (English/Spanish) is required.

Experience is required in Environmental Site Assessments and indoor air quality including mould, fungus, other airborne chemicals/toxins and asbestos issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience at a senior level managing staff and projects and should be able to take on a senior technical environmental supervisory role and be experienced in handling environmental projects for insurance clients.

The successful candidate must have well developed communication skills, be comfortable interacting with clients, contractors and regulatory officials, have strong organizational skills, be results oriented and able to adapt to ever changing conditions.  In addition the successful candidate must have experience with fieldwork, sampling procedures and report preparation and writing.
